On July 30th, the China General Machinery Industry Association and Kunlun Energy Co., Ltd. jointly organized an appraisal meeting in Wuzhong City, Ningxia for the localization research and development of key equipment for LNG, including cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic butterfly valves, and cryogenic axial flow check valves, independently developed by Chengdu Chenggao Valve Co., Ltd. The LNG cryogenic valve products identified in this appraisal meeting are NPS6, NPS10 Class1500 cryogenic ball valve, NPS24 Class150 cryogenic butterfly valve, and NPS10 Class1500 cryogenic axial flow check valve. The appraisal meeting was presided over by Zhang Zonglie, Vice President of China General Machinery Industry Association. Huang Li, President of China General Machinery Industry Association, attended the appraisal meeting and gave an important speech. Han Xinqiang, Senior Director of Kunlun Energy LNG Management Department, attended the appraisal meeting.
Huang Mingya, the chief expert of Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, serves as the director of the appraisal committee, and Qiu Ping, the deputy chief engineer of Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., serves as the deputy director of the appraisal committee. The appraisal committee is composed of experts from various companies such as Sinopec Shenzhen Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd., Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd., China Huanqiu Contracting&Engineering Co., Ltd., Lanzhou University of Technology, Kunlun Energy Jingtang Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd., and Kunlun Energy Jiangsu Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd.
Chengdu Chenggao Valve Co., Ltd. Chairman Ding Qi, Chief Engineer Zeng Pinqi, Deputy Chief Engineer Zeng Heyou and Engineer Fu Jianchuan attended the meeting. Ding Qi, chairman of CHV, attended the event and spoke: " The technical difficulty of cryogenic valves is high, but after repeated tests and technical research, we have achieved technological breakthroughs and completed localization. This is also the only way to ensure national energy security." Deputy Chief Engineer Zeng Heyou made a special report on the development of three types of cryogenic valves, and the participating experts conducted detailed technical inquiries and discussions.
Some experts visited the cryogenic valve assembly workshop and cryogenic test area of CHV before the meeting, and witnessed the factory testing of cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic butterfly valves, and cryogenic axial flow check valve prototypes.
Finally, experts from the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the performance indicators of the domestically produced cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic butterfly valves, and cryogenic axial flow check valves for the key equipment of natural gas liquefaction equipment undertaken by Chengdu Chenggao Valve Co., Ltd. have reached the advanced level of international similar products and can be promoted and applied in liquefied natural gas plants. The appraisal committee unanimously agreed to pass the appraisal.
The successful convening of this appraisal meeting marks a new level of key valve technology for LNG in China, filling the domestic technological gap and laying the foundation for the domestic mass production and application of key valves for liquefied natural gas.
