After communication and consultation between CHV Innovation Center and Southwest Pipeline Technology Center, based on the needs of pipeline safety operations, the two parties reached an agreement to jointly build a "Pipeline Valve Application Analysis and Performance Evaluation Laboratory." On March 25, the laboratory jointly built by the National Pipeline Network Group Southwest Pipeline Company and Chengdu Chenggao Valve Co., Ltd. held an unveiling ceremony in the east area of CHV. Li Kaihong, general manager of the Southwest Pipeline Technology Center of the National Pipeline Network, and Ding Qi, chairman of CHV, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches, jointly unveiling the laboratory. Li Yong, deputy general manager of CHV, chaired the meeting.
Dr. Xu Shifa, Director of the Innovation Center, introduced the construction background and work plan of the laboratory:
1.Comply with the development ideas of the National Pipeline Network Group on scientific research work. At the 2020 Chengdu Smart Pipeline Conference, Liu Zhongyun, deputy general manager of the National Pipeline Network Group, proposed the development idea of making full use of third-party social resources, building open laboratories, and carrying out scientific and technological research.
2.Meet the development needs of Southwest Pipeline Company in building a world-class mountain pipeline enterprise. The pipelines under the jurisdiction of Southwest Pipeline Company have a large number of valves in service, many types, and a wide range of manufacturers. The valve data structure is insufficient, and the entire process management of valve internal leakage is not yet complete. Therefore, timely collection and analysis of key data on valve manufacturing, use, and repair is the key for Southwest Pipeline Company to prevent and solve valve-related problems.
3.CHV is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of pipeline valves. It has cooperated with domestic scientific research institutes to carry out research on key technical problems in the field of valves and conducted forward-looking research and development on cutting-edge valve technologies. As the largest supplier of pipeline ball valves for long-distance natural gas pipelines in China, we have cooperated with the National Pipeline Network Company to achieve the localization of high-end fully welded ball valve complete sets of equipment. In order to promote the development of valves in an intelligent and interdisciplinary direction, CHV and Pipeline Company jointly promote the advancement of domestic pipeline valve technology.
The laboratory will integrate the advantages of CHV's manufacturing, maintenance and research and development and the talent and market advantages of Southwest Pipeline, mobilize university resources for school-enterprise cooperation and multi-party interaction, in order to achieve the goal of "concentrating efforts to do great things", jointly tackle difficulties and escort national energy security.
